For those having trouble finding the plug for the brake controller. For 2013, it's plugged into a dummy receptacle on the back of the little cubbyhole/storage bin.

Mine wasn't. I have a 13 STX with the tow package. It was buddy tapped to another set of wires up under the dash on the driver's side.

Remstar my 13 STX (with tow package) had a 'blank' receptacle taped to a wire bundle below the steering column. But it's just a blank receptacle (with no pins), I can't imagine what it's for when they also give you the pigtail-wired receptacle in a plastic bag (in the driver door cubby).

But the actual "wired" brake controller receptacle was located as shown.

My 2011 F150 that has the towing package had the tbc wiring harness completely removed. It’s not behind that cubby or taped under the dash. So I bought a new harness but o have no idea where to plug it in at. I’ve looked everywhere on the internet but I can’t seem to find where to plug it in at.

This thread is almost a decade old. Most of the commentors in it are probably long gone. You're likely to get more and better responses by starting a new thread and posting it in the folder for your generation truck. You'll find members that read and post there but never in the tow/haul/plow folder.
