yea , 4.56 would give the most mech adv and relive a bit of RPm stress on the engine. if headed to hilly destinations more then not def 4.56 but if more jsut mid west flat lands 4.10's would save a lil more gas on hwy and unloaded

2000km round trip. Truck was pulling a tent trailer (GVWR 2600lbs) and aluminum boat up top on rack. More squat than I expected on the back end but truck rode well (minus a slight shudder when moving from a stop - 6.5 ft box and crew cab. Apparently more common with two piece driveshaft).
Averaged 17L/100km or around 13-14mpg US doing 70mph. Lots of power to spare (3.5 ecoboost) and overall happy with the first towing experience (albeit relatively small setup compared to some other rigs but works for us)

RTFM, its in there. Shudder on taking off is normal. It has to do with the angle of the driveshaft (Pinion Angle) while under heavy load. It's a compromise, majority of the time the truck will be lightly loaded so the pinion angle is set for when empty, and when heavily loaded the angle changes, so you will get a slight shudder under acceleration. Nothing you can do about it, if you adjust for heavy load, then you will get shudder when empty.

My 2011 had the shudder and it drove me crazy. I installed the roadmaster active suspension and it went away YMMV http://www.activesuspension.com/
