Yeah, I'm a little over on my rating. I bought this truck new in June of 2013. It has the factory tow package and 5.0. 6650# rating. I weighed it at a Cat scale and with me, a full tank, my hitch installed I weighed in at 5210 lbs. My pin weight is 1510 and trailer weight is 8400lbs. Believe it or not, this picture was the day I bought the camper. Back before I added super springs, tow mirrors, E rated tires, and had the axle ratio changed to a 3.73.
It pulls and handles good. I drive a truck for a living though, so I'm used to pulling trailers. I've pulled this 5th wheel to San Antonio and back a few times already. I run about 60 or 65 and get 11mpg.
I traded in a 2006 Powerstroke F250 on this truck because I never pulled anything and was tired of diesel prices. Had I known that 8 months later I would buy a 30ft 5th wheel I probably would've held on to what I had, but that's life I guess. I'll eventually go back to a bigger truck, but not until I outrun the depreciation on this one.

Nice looking rig! Hope you have an air boot rear suspension. If not, trust me. Best and safest mod you can do.

That just goes to show you how stout the 5.0 really is. Much respect . I've got the Boost and love how she pulls!

I love the 5.0. It runs like a scalded ape. Pulled fine even with the 3.31 rear end. Ford charged $731 to switch it to a 3.73 ratio.

Unfortunately didn't get to haul any elk back on the cargo deck. First time I saw a whole herd while hunting but they were too far and not enough daylight left to get to them. Next year!

Just took delivery today! 2015 KZ Sportsmen Showstopper 242SBHSS. Pulled very well on my short shakedown ride. To bad it went straight into storage. Looking forward to getting it out next year!
