I just completed my 6 day vaca from AZ to SanDiego....pulling my 8k+...33' travel trailer....and Man, ....what an EASY PULL!
Unbelievable, set the cruise and steer. The ride is frickin smooth (air bags!) ...the power off of a dead start is immediate and linear.Don't even have to get into the throttle hard?!- it's truly an amazing machine ! Put on around 940 miles round trip on her and averaged 12.2 mpg-(towing & unhooked)
And I can get out of my own way towing ....pretty quick... when a semi comes up on me.
Ford definitely hit a home run with the Boost!

Actually it was 117 at times passing through AZ to Cali until we hit San Diego!
My Springdale has one unit and it has worked flawlessly...and Yea it will get pretty cold....it will run and run, but you could "Hang Beef"...inside!
Usually we get OUTSIDE OF THE HEAT!...when we camp!!
But unfortunately we have to drive through it to get away from it. With our business in AZ, our down time is June, July, & Aug. (Hottest times in the AZ)
So we are "camping mothers"...so to speak!!

We do a fair amount of camping along the Salmon river in middle Idaho. A lot of times it can be over 100 degrees. We have one 15,000BTU AC unit and it usually cannot keep up. We have had times when its hotter inside. The unit blows ice cold, but in a 34ft trailer with dark colored sides, it cant keep up.

I wonder if it has to do with humidity? ....I mean mine is a 13,500 BTU....and obviously in AZ it gets frickin HOT in the summer! But when we bought our trailer it was in June!... the dealer had it plugged in with the AC on, I remember it was like 108 out! And it was cold? And still is ..... (O, it's a dry heat-lol) We wanted to upgrade to the 15,000+ BTU, but didn't have the extra caash. And I thought O frick. ...this is going to be a problem? Not so....? Never been an issue, ...although our last trip to Cali, after going through Yuma(117 degrees)...once we turned the AC on....it took a while to cool down. That trailer was like a frickin oven!!

Yep, if you pull off the filter/cover from inside the unit (some will even have easy access panels) you can see the model and serial numbers. Then just cross-reference on the old Internet to determine make and model group. Then you can download all the necessary guides, spec's, etc. I just did this to install a hard-start capacitor in my AirExcel/Coleman 15k unit so I could run it with my smaller generator without tripping the overload breaker on startup.

Two things we learned while camping in TX panhandle and Albuquerque last June: Clean the filter and there was a vent on the unit itself we didn't know about. Once we opened it during the day, life got a lot better. We closed it at night to push more air to the bedroom.
