How much does that camper weigh? I'll wager it weighs 1500#. With nothing else in the truck, you are wry close to over weight.

How much does the front end rise from stock when the camper is on there? You have no way to shift that weight forward like a WDH can on a trailer.

I would keep speeds down and take it easy with that combo.

Just because a lot of people do it doesn't make it smart or safe.

The camper weighs under 1500 but I cant remember exactly how much. Im planning on modifying a few things to cut back on some weight. When we go camping anything heavier than blankets will go in the boat anyway. I'd rather modify a $600 camper than trad in a $57,000 truck. The front end of the truck doesnt come up from stock that you can notice by watching it. The rear squats just over an inch. If it doesnt end up working out ill figure something else out.

I pulled a 5th wheel that was 5-800 pounds over my payload and the truck sat level. Was worried I would have to add bags or Springs being that much over but I didn't, it worked great! I don't think you are gonna have to worry about the front end of a Ford coming up unless you try and haul a couple tons or are one of those people who level them, lol!

The truck has air bags in the rear so I won't have that issue. I'm not worried about only being a couple hundred pounds over my payload. I'm going to be leveling my truck shortly but with the air bags I don't think it's going to really matter.

Went camping back in August, towed my folks' little pop-up. Pulled so well, barely noticed it was there.
