If you had to add 55psi to your bags to level it out, you most likely don't have enough weight transferring. It takes 35psi for my 30' with 632# dry tongue weight.
Go to rv.net in the towing section for a how to on the proper way to set your hitch up and you will be glad you did.
By the way, adding air will not change the front ride height hardly any unless it is drastically altered.

You need to measure the fender height at all four corners unhitched.
Then measure all four corners after hitched up but not with the weight bars hooked up.
Then hook your bars up and measure front height again. This measurement should be halfway between the unloaded height and the hitched height with no bars.
My truck road a bit heavy in the back with the above setup (per fords instructions) but I then added my bags.
The airbags are to only get the rear back to the stock ride height, shouldn't go any more than that.
35 psi puts my rear back to stock height. And rides firmer. That's what I love about the bags.

That Kodiak is one sweet trailer. What a nice set-up. My wife would love that interior with the island. Is that the empty weight? We will most surely put this on our short list when we trade up to a larger trailer.

2011 Lariat Screw EB
So I bougth a 2005 26' Sprinter 5th wheel from my uncle. Crappy part is I haven't even got to use it. I bought it cause my father in law needed a place to stay while he got his Chemo treatment done here is Wisconsin (he lives in florida).
I used the "if we buy a nice camper your dad can come stay in it" line and went and bought one. He's done with treatment in a month then guess who has a sweet camper! Haven't even gotten to tow it yet, my uncle dropped it off at my place.
The Camper, it has a slide out on the other side.
The hitch that I just installed. Hooked it up and plenty of clearance.
And weights are good, 6330 dry and 1020 hitch weight.
Cannot wait to take it out!

The Guy at the dealership said the hitch will not take out all the sag and since my truck is leveled in the front the sag was very minimal considering the tongue weight of my trailer. I only had to put 30 psi to level it back out but went to 55 psi and it rode better.

3.55 / eco boost / reg tow pack.
puma 27rbss weighed on cat scale.
tt weight- 6680 / Length - about 31'
combined weight - 13020
Just pulled it home tonight. Cant believe how easy it pulled. Tracked nice and straight down the highway. Plenty of power and braking almost seemed better with trailer hooked up. Fuel tank knew it was back their though. 8.0 mpg for 20 miles of highway at 67mph. And reached 8.6 with 5 miles of country roads included. Wind was fairly calm, truck drove in 5th gear never dropped to 4th for any hills but didn't like 6th gear. 2100 rpms at 67mph.
Now I just need to set up the wdh better. People at the dealership says, looks good to us, you don't need to adjust it. Eventhough my front axle weight is over a 100lbs lighter. Doesn't even pay to argue. I'll just do it at home and do it right.
Murf, when we going camping?
