I just want to see some TT's.
I request interior shots also if its not to much to ask. I'm in the market and love seeing and hearing real world reviews.

The 5.4L has 268 lb. ft. of torque at 2700 rpm at the rear wheel which is 89% of peak and hits peak torque at 3700 rpm. The rear wheel HP at the peak torque rpm is 210.

Based on these numbers, I would expect the 5.0 to perform the same at low rpm take off as the 5.4 and better at higher rpm. Ford has always built their engines with a large %age of torque at lower rpm's. We will see.

Back to the topic, I will post pics of the new truck and camper when I get it!
Were did you get that from? It doesnt match the information I've seen. You might want to check it out again because I'm pretty sure you are mistaken. The torque curve graph clearly shows that the 5.4 is quite superior to the 5.0 at lower rpms.

Horsepower and torque numbers at the crank:
5.4 310hp @ 5000rpm's
365ft#'s @ 3500rpm's

5.0 360hp @ 5500rpm's
380ft#'s @ 4250rpm's

Reflects performance data:
5.0 0-60 unloaded 7.18 secs. Quarter mile 15.53 secs. @ 92.85 mph
5.4 0-60 unloaded 8.96 secs. Quarter mile 16.96 secs. @ 85.91 mph
(Both trucks were Supercrew's with 3.73 axle ratio's and 6 speed transmissions)

How come your numbers don't match everyone elses? Are you confusing hp with torque or something?

5.0L 5.4L

1500 rpm = 275# 1500 rpm = 260# ?
2000 rpm = 302# 2000 rpm = 315#
2500 rpm = 315# 2500 rpm = 340#
3000 rpm = 327# 3000 rpm = 356#
3500 rpm = 350# 3500 rpm = 365#
4000 rpm = 362# 4000 rpm = 365#
4500 rpm = 379# 4500 rpm = 363#
5000 rpm = 356# 5000 rpm = 350#
5500 rpm = 348# 5500 rpm = 297# (Redline)
6000 rpm = 315# (Redline)

As you see the 5.4 is much better down low. Not sure about you but id rather pull at 2500rpm than 4000, but good luck to ya! Lol

LOL. Well, my numbers are from the same source as everyone else's, hence the links i posted via the interweb. I will use my experience in selling and following fords for the better part of my life and the seat of my pants impression. I will let you know if your data relates to real world data when I get my new truck broken in and tested vs the tried and true 5.4 in the 4 and 6 speed versions i have owned since 1999. In the mean time, smile because you own a Ford and take your family camping!

Id love to do a side by side comparison with the 5.4 and 5.0 and drive them both towing. Contemplating a super duty next because I don't think the 5.0 would handle my rig from what I've heard and I don't want an Eco. Not trying to knock the 5.0 or anything, I know its a great motor and will blow the doors off my 5.4 but I bought it to tow not to race, lol! It's rated less and the numbers I've seen don't match yours and it shows the 5.4 is much better suited to towing. I'm sure the 5.0 would pull it, but I'm betting the rpms would be higher and it would have a harder time getting started.
