Default F150 with Sunset Trail 33BD

2010 F150 Lariat 5.4 with Firestone Riderite airbags towing a Sunset Trail 33BD (empty weight 7868) with Equilizer hitch. Tows very well up to 70 mph in light winds.

Maybe some of it is due to the lens effect from the 3/4 view but.... how long is that thing?

It is 37' from the tongue to the rear bumper, but it tows very well. Had a little sway towing it home from MI, when the winds were 30 knots and I tried to push the speed up to 65. Slowed to 60 and it was a breeze to pull.

OMG... this is a long rig all together. I do not doubt it tows ok but this must be a pain to back up in campgrounds. Hope you're a good driver ;-)

Happy camping

Total length is 58'. So, far I have not had any issues backing in, but so far have been in fairly open campgrounds. I am a good driver, but some of the State parks may pose a challenge. I used to drive trucks local through my college days, and did a lot of backing with a 53' semi trailer.

It's 37' from hitch to bumper. Weighs in around 7600 lbs unloaded. http://www.kodiak-rv.com/index.php?p...300BHSL&coast=

Ecoboost and 3.73 rear is AWESOME! I'm sure the 5.0 with the 6-speed would do nearly as well, just a little more screaming from the higher RPM's. I'm amazed that the ecoboost just purrs along in 6th gear at less then 1800 RPM doing 60 mph and is so quiet. Ford just really makes a great towing vehicle with the integrated brake controller. Kinda like Chrysler was doing with the mini-vans when they first came on the scene.

Had to make a mid trip adjustment to the spring bars on my Equal-i-zer to tighten it more (too much sway) and now the truck/trailer drive like one unit now while going down the highway.

Firestone ride-rite air bags were a great addition as well with the heavier tongue weight of this trailer over my last one. I'm able to fine tune the level of the truck trailer to get it just he way I like it (a little nose down on the trailer)
