Here's a current photo with the SnugTop on, and the airbags installed. Set the airbags at 38 psi.

Was referring to the SuperCrew/4x4/Lariat the other member is towing with. This equals to 1300lbs payload... You must be driving a 4x2/Scab if you have 1600+ payload... This goes by the empty truck weight

Cheers

There are only a few combinations of rigs and trucks that will be safe, legal and within the numbers.

I am NOT saying it cannot be done, in fact quite the opposite. It can be done with the right gear. Be careful with the weights, don't forget things like your cargo, your hitch itself (this often shocks people just how heavy they are) etc.
Yep, everybody who is not driving an HD payload F150 like yours and pulling 5ver is above limit... this includes myself unfortunately. People are not well educated on the subjet (especially RV and truck sales guys) and they most of the time go with tow rating only which, I said many time, is irrelevant.

The limit is reached on the rear axel first - RAWR (this is where no one is within limit) and on GVWR after. If you are very lucky and and have the best setup possible (4x2/Scab/MaxTow/light pin weight) you COULD be within GVWR.

I posted pictures of my truck at the scale few times already and I know the numbers... what we have left on the rear axel is kind of depressing ;-)

Now that being said, I used to tow a 28ft TT where I was just whithin limit with a 800lbs pin weight and my previous F150 and I feel a lot safer towing my much bigger 5th wheel now.

We just have to be aware and educate ourserlf on the subject. It is more complicated than just looking at the tow rating and yellow sticker on the trailer

Happy camping all

Thanks.

The sun was hitting it in a way that it made the cap look like part of the truck, lol.

Well, congratulation you have the lightness F150 on the planet then ;-)

Something is not right with what you're saying but don't want to argue over this and definitely not calling you a liar

Cheers

I am surprised to see what others have for payload and no idea why mine appears higher than norm. Nothing special about my truck either, a 2012, cloth, limited options but has the 7350 GVWR. I'm planning on getting her weighed in a week or two so that might shed some light on this. Attached is a picture.

Sorry I doubted you... I'm very surprised now! Was driving a very similar 2011 with EB and MaxTow and my payload was just 100lbs over what you have now... This is where I got my number from...

Consider yourself lucky ;-)

Cheers
