Thanks for the replies. The #1 TT on my short list has a GVWR of 6500 lbs., so depending on how the tongue weight works out I might be okay with that. Still looking for a lighter unit with the floorplan we want, no rush to buy.
Another question, what is the approximate weight of a good WDH?

hey guys... i'm new to the camper game and went out looking for the first time yesterday for a trailer. i just wanted to get an idea of what my truck can and can't do.
anyways i found a koala lite 24rbk that i really liked. the problem with it is, it's not "4 seasoned" meaning... it doesn't have dual paned glass and it's not recommended to live in it year round.
so, what trailers are you guys pulling that ARE 4 seasoned.
2010 screw 4x4 5.4 with a gv of 7300. no, i don't have the max tow package.

You'll likely be fine with a trailer that size at 1695 payload. The tongue weight may get up around 1000lb once you're loaded. All trailers are different with their tongue weight to trailer weight ratio but it is usually 10-15% when dry. Remember that all the weight of your propane tanks and batteries is on the tongue.
My payload is 1848 lb, my trailer (6800lb GVWR, ~5237lb dry) has a tongue weight of 518 lb dry but the propane tanks and batteries alone add over 200 lb to that. When loaded up with my wife, dogs and wood I have about 400 lb of payload left.
You'll definitely need a weight distributing hitch and may want to load most of your 'stuff' in the trailer as opposed to the back seat or bed.
Oops. sorry. Forgot this is the pics thread.

good point.
the only thing i'm really curious about is getting a trailer that's got dual payned windows and is usable all winter long.
up here, we call it "4 seasoned", means it is usable until -50C

Just curious what your guy's tire payload ratings are, I was thinking I might have to take my 305/35/24s off to pull that cougar 276rls but I looked at the payload rating and its higher than the stock Michelins on 2 f150s next to me in the parking lot. anyone pull with low pros or is that just a bad idea due to lack of sidewall if you hit a bump? They are rated higher than stock as far as weight.
