Anyone do any winter camping? I'm itching to get out. A couple buddies tried to convince me to bring my 5th wheel up to Lambeau for a tailgate. Would have but didn't want to unwinterize and rewinterize right away.

Yes! We are avid winter campers and in fact we enjoy winter camping much more than 'high season' camping. We routinely camp at temps as low as -15C etc without issue. We use our full water system all year round also.

In fact I run a board dedicated to all season camping. Drop me a PM if you are interested (I am not sure how the admins would like me linking to this board on a public post).

Our latest winter trip was for our annual New Years tradition and it was an absolute BLAST!!

Check the full time forums on RV.NET for a lot of good info for winter camping. A small oil-filled electric radiator in the fifth-wheel basement to prevent water pipe freezing is just one of the many suggestions.

No winter camping for us. This is where she hibernates until spring which is 2 months 7 days and 21 hours away but who's counting!!!!

We tried winter camping with a hybrid Jayco... not too good with a baby... this year, with our new camper, we're gonna give it a shot again in Lancaster, PA... we'll see

I don't know how anyone can camp in the winter, it froze early last year while we were camping for deer camp and my lines and tanks started to freeze before I could get it home and winterized it. I had to heat the tank valves with a torch just to drain the tanks
