2013 ecoboost, no mods. Towed from Houtson, Texas to Ouray, Colorado, to Moab, Utah and back. Mileage sucked, but i wasnt going slow either. Averaged about 8 to 8.5 mpg. Jeep weighs in at 5060, trailer about 2200 with tools. Bed full to brim with ice chests and camping gear. Id venture it was about 8000 total weight.

Only issue i noticed was that it will get hot on a slow, twisty climb (under 30mph). Fans just cant keep up, and trans was getting hot too. Any other climb was no issue. Pulled Monarch pass at 65 without pushing it hard.

The only thing that will attract more friends than having a truck ... having a truck and a 16ft dual axle trailer ;-)
Helping a friend move (again).

* Did you limit gears i.e. lock out 6 or 5th to get more ponies from engine power vs boost? seem like thats helped others when climbing grades as it takes pressure off of turbos to boost so much as uses more of the n/a part i.e. rpms

Yeah i always lock out 6th for sure, sometimes 5th if its really hilly or strong headwind. Pretty sure i was in 4th pulling Monarch.

24' Yamaha 242. Probably weighs around 5,600-5,700 lbs loaded down. 5.0 yanks it around like it's not back there.

There is no way you don't feel that. You need airbags or a WDH bad.
