That is a surprising motor for sure. My brother hauls his N series tractor, critters and his travel trailer with a 3.7l SCREW with no problems.

Hi Brute,
My truck is a 5.0 with a six inch lift.
I towed my car hauler almost 7,000 kilometers from Ottawa to Dawson City, Yukon. The trailer was loaded to capacity, so much that in Toronto I stopped and had a extra leaf added. (Made an incredible improvement)
I considered 2 leafs but didn't want the stiff ride when running without a trailer.
I'll be honest, gas mileage wasnt the best, it took nearly $100 in fuel for every 200 kilometers of driving, but I went through very mountainous and rugged terrain. The truck handled perfectly and towed the trailer flawlessly.
I'm sure the weight distribution hitch also helped.
