Default Leaf spring banging

My truck has developed a terrible banging noise which I thought was the passenger side door. The dealer said that they are having a lot of complaints about this and that it is the top leaf and the second lead banging against each other and they offer no fix. Has anyone tried to fix this with something like an Energy Suspension Leaf Spring Bumper Pad? My thinking is that is may also reduce axle wrap at the same time.

2013 FORD F150, Super Crew,4x4 with 6'box.

The dealer that I go to says that FORD is aware of the problem and that 'many' others are having the same problems. I was thinking that a set of the 'Energy Suspension Leaf Spring Bumper Pad' might kill 2 birds with 1 stone in that if the pad is big enough than the second spring will always be in contact with the main leaf so no slapping but another side effect is that the second leaf will always be in play. Having the second leaf in play may reduce wind up. I am looking to see if others are having this issue and any one has an opinion on my speculations.

Does this only apply to 4X4 trucks? I have a 2012 F150 that's two wheel drive and do not have this problem.

The dealer did not say which trucks just that FORD is aware of it and that the dealer is hearing complaints. The solution so far is to lubricate the spring pack with dripless undercoating.

I used the ES 9.9132G ultra low bump stop on the rear part of the overload leaf. Seems to have taken a bit of the play out of the rear suspension under load.

I decided to jump in and I ordered the Energy Suspension 9.99132r and the 9.9102r. The front of the spring pack will receiver the 9.9102r's while the back gets the 9.99132r's. I am anxious to see if this little change will help control the slapping along with reducing the axle wrap. It may turn out to be the bets 30 bucks I ever spent.
