I so pumped!
yeah I would definitely break it in before towing that beast. Also.. The catback system will make it sound mean!! The raptors sound perfect with one ( same 6.2 of course )

I am rather curious as to how snappy that thing is going to be... what kind of power should I expect while unloaded?

They are okay stock.... the bottom end is lacking from all the torque limitations the pcm has set in it. I was never that impressed with mine until I junked all that. Remove all that trash, add some timing and tweak the trans shift pressures/ convertor lockup and it wakes right up. That's all any supposed "custom" tune does for you lol. I have two 6.2 powered F150's. ...i like them.

Wink

You may need a neck brace......lol. The 6.2 is a fantastic engine. A lot of grunt. I ordered my '11 Lariat with the 6.2, Max Tow and 3.73LS gears. It's a beast. You'll love yours for sure. I have the Stainless Works long tube headers, high flow cats with X-pipe, and the S-tube mufflers with the duals exiting at the stock location behind the rear tire. And I have the SCT Livewire with some custom performance and tow tunes.

Welcome to the Forum,
You will be very happy with the tow capacity.
It will Tow the Heart out of a Chevy.
I'm sorry, I couldn't help it.

I cant wait! It should be here about noon today! I will have to look into a tune kit for it to wake it up. Who knows, after coming from a V6 Dakota, I might be perfectly happy!! It is just an XLT with the 302a package. Blue Jean Metallic with the Adobe cloth buckets and HID lights. Should be a nice looking truck!

I sure hope it will tow the heart out of a Chevy! I love that comment! Genius!!

2013 302a Blue Jeans XLT SCab with the 6.2 of course. I had to add hid's and I switched it to a console but I just found it on a lot too
If i ordered it that would have been a different story. Only has 3.55 gears.... but 4.10's will be coming soon.

Mine ,,, I believe has the 3.73,, but according to the window sticker that I have... it only have the standard mirrors... not the trailer tow.. Oh well,, They make mirrors I can get!!!

It pulls actually really well. The truck as it sits in those photos weighs around 7000 lbs with all my stuff in it. I had my 2000 lb car hauler and an old 86 K5 Chev blazer behind it and it didn't miss a beat. Pulled with minimal shifting and had no trouble getting up to or maintaining speed. I have 2 of these trucks with 6.2's like i said. Here is the other one.

It's tinted now ( so is my blue one since the pics) and the white one has red and black badges and whatnot. The white one is a max tow with 3.73's. In Canada max tow doesn't mean tow mirrors... but state side it does. So I would check axle ratio when you get yours as if it's standard mirrors it's probably 3.55. Both trucks have MBRP 3.5" exhaust and a tune... the fx4 has an AFE intake as well and I just ordered a set of stainless works long tube headers for it. I really like this engine... it's just fun to drive... empty or loaded.
