Impromtu Pickups
After picking up the kids from school today I saw a gas grill labeled "free". Upon closer inspection it was a Weber Summit Platinum! Score!! It's in great shape and will refurbish perfectly.
It got me thinking how lucky I was to have a pickup and how it made it so easy to be able to pick it up spur of the moment. I always carry tie down straps for this very type of thing.
Anyone else have picks of their trucks hauling something that was impromptu.

I used to. Now, I'm a delivery boy.
My father runs a business out in the country. It's 45minutes to a city, so when I head home for weekends I end up picking up supplies for him.
I also haul pieces of steel from my work to my parents' neighbor. He got me my job here and since he retired from the company, he's become a contractor for them.
And my mother will occasionally call with an address to go pick something up off the street or from something she made a deal for online.
The life of a truck owner. Hauling other folks' stuff. Lmao, but I love my truck.

Thats a score and a half!
I've picked plenty of good stuff from the trash. Lots of kids little tykes stuff. As long as its not damaged they clean up easy and my wife sells them of gives them to families that can't buy.
Power wheels too. They usually just need a battery.
We even keep a set of tiedowns in our Explorer just incase we spot something that will fit on the roof.

Picked up a table and 4 chairs for $20 and ended up getting a floor chest as well for free, will hopefully sell the chairs and chest for $40-50 and have enough to buy supper and get our money back. BTW love all the tie down points in the bed of this truck.

No picture, but I found a free Tonneau Cover for my 92 F150 about a year and a half ago, wouldn't fit with my toolbox, so I ended up putting it up for sale and made a quick $150!
