Funny these are the same interactions occurring over on the ram forums regarding the diesel....

Yup. I have found a lot of guys over there with a healthy respect for the 3.5. Seems to be wishy-washy on the ecodee though. Some love it, some not. No different than here with the eb vs 8 cylinder crowd.

Go to the z. You wanna talk about a room full of middle schoolers... sheesh...

Well, there are lots of uninformed people out there. That's why the TV commercials work . . . .

Love the Chevy ads, since they have nothing to talk about, "most innovative bed with LED lights, nobody is quieter". HA!

I don't get it. From what I see the little Dodge diesel did just fine. It was able to pull better than some but not as well as others and considering its target market it should be well received. For heavy pulling or usage than expect Dodge owners to step up to the 5.7. I applaud Dodge for bringing small diesels into the small truck market.

If you take a look at the Ram 1500 Diesel forum the vast majority of owners are very pleased with the truck, not a lot of major complaints. Most seem to average near 25 mpg mixed.

Towing seems to net a couple of miles more than a heavy duty diesel towing the same weight and at least 50% better than a gas engine and a few have done a lot of towing already.

With the allotment of 8,000 units a month the average time on dealer lots is around 13 days, so they are selling very well and Ram is increasing the number for 2015.
