Drive safe and legally out there my friends, everyone else's family and friends will appreciate it.
Where did this comment come from? Kinda random, but yeah don't tow while drunk I guess is the point?

Which is what I thought was being discussed, maybe I misunderstood the discussion.

Oh ok, sorry I thought you were implying towing with 3.31 gears is somehow unsafe. Misunderstanding...

But yes OP, as long as you stay under all the vehicle ratings you are will be good.

It is the Husky Centerline TS being installed next Saturday when we pick up the camper.

Brought our camper home today. On the way home for an hour, it's pretty much all up hill, and truck pulled it just fine. Trans temp didn't go way up, and there was no issues at all. So I'll keep an eye on it, but so far so good.

Felt a little wobbly at a couple points, maybe I'm just not use to pulling that something that long, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Got the hitch all installed as well. (Husky Centerline TS) Seems easy enough to connect and disconnect. So hopefully I don't screw that up. haha

For those of you towing 7-9000 lbs are you replacing the hitch receiver that came on the truck, or just adding something like the Blue Ox weight distributing hitch and using the stock hitch that came on the truck?

Personally, I have a ProPride hitch that uses the stock truck receiver. Yes, it costs a bunch more. The engineering behind it is, in my mind, better than the sway controlling hitches. I made my decision based on a paper I found from a study done in England that actually tested a version of a friction based sway control hitch.
YMMV
