Default How to make the factory 7 pin have power when key is off?

I am working on a project and was wondering if there was an easy way to get power from the 7 pin connector when the key is off. It has power when the key is ON, but not at ACC or OFF. Truck is a 2013 w/ navigation so leaving the key at the ON position turns the screen on along with all the other electronics which is not ideal.

Any thoughts on a simple solution?

run a fused wire to the plug and cut the factory wire/splice in the new wire. then pull the fuse for the factory wire

Maybe you should consider installing a small deep cycle batt in your trailer instead? Obviously you're interested in running lights or other 12v accessories on the trailer when the TV is not running. A battery in the trailer will allow you to do that and doesn't require the TV to even be attached to operate. The house batt can charge off the 30-amp 12v supply when the TV is running (towing).

In a perfect world, I would like it to pull a max of 300w/5~7a with the key off via some sort of jumper/relay system, but when the key is on it would be able to get full juice as it does from the factory (25a capacity if I remember right).

Adding a battery in a trailer won't be a solution for this project.

Edit: would it be as simple as replacing the #9 trailer tow battery charger relay with a relay that doesn't get triggered by the key being in the ON position? Like a hollow relay that just connects the circuit together?
