My 2011 Supercrew 2WD with the 5.0 has a 9.75 rear end. Only the NA V6's got the 8.8 rear ends.

That is correct in the 11-14 but the 15 5.0 had a 8.8 had one the other day getting goose neck hitch, it was a fx4 with tow package I couldant believe it had a 8.8

Wondering if it is just certain rear end ratios or certain models. The Ford parts site seems to list the 8.8 housing for 3.31 with the 5.0 but it also lists the 9.75 with base payload and with HD payload. So maybe it is not ALL 5.0 that have the 8.8.

I'm certain the truck had 3.55 it had the window sticker in it, just seems to be backwards to me, but something u guys may not know is the 8.8 in the 04 and up use the same axle bearings as the 9.75 the axle really step up in size towards the outside so I'd think they could handle similar loads on the axle just not take as much stress as far as the gears goes
