You already have a truck but to answer your question about how to tow a 5th/gooseneck, you really need a pickup with the HD Payload Package. Thicker frame, more capable axles, etc. Here is a link with payloads listed:

Note the trucks with the HDPP. Mine has a payload of 2,200lb. It also comes with LT load range E tires which are much stiffer. It's the next best thing to a 3/4 ton truck.

yep its a hard one with these trailer manufactures, there are small group of 1/2 ton trucks that can pull these 5ths that are marketed for our trucks and getting a truck with a hd payload package is very hard to find on a lot, usually have to special order in.

Yep. Because the F-150s with HD Payload package are slow sellers, all the several dealers within 100 miles of me won't stock them. So if you want one, you have to order and wait 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, or even longer if you order near the end or beginning of the model year.
And that's assuming Ford will fill your order. Ford produced zero 2015 F-150s with HD Payload pkg, and it was about 6 months into the 2016 model year before they cranked up production again. They're producing them now, but the end of the model year is fast approaching, so if you want one you'd better order it now.
Most customers give up and buy an F-250 instead of the hassle of ordering and waiting on an F-150 with the HD Payload pkg.
