HELP***I need tow Mirrors
Ok I have had both kinds of tow mirrors the OEM tow mirrors on my old 2011 FX4 and I have had the slip on ****'s on my ram in the past.I just can't make up my mind as to the one's I want to go with. I'll take all the help I can get....Thanks

For me, driving to the city daily, the factory tow mirrors are too wide. I already have to watch it with mine. I also like the power fold, which the factory tow mirrors don't have. So I got the slip on ***** and they work well. Mirrors still fold with them on too. Hard to beat for around $50.

On a 2012 I would say the **** slip-ons for the reasons listed above. In 2013 they made them power-fold which is really nice. The OEM are definitely better (as you no doubt know from past experience).

Having had both slip on's and now factory tow I can say there is no comparison. The factory tow mirrors are 100000% for me. Power fold would be nice, but not a gotta have type thing.

I had regular mirrors from the factory and opted to get tow mirrors and I love them. The only issue is tight parking spaces when someone doesn't park their vehicle properly. Not to mention the one time I drove by a POS Chev and took his whole mirror off doing 3 mph and not even a scratch on the mirror......paid the price and got some kicks out of it for how mad he was for it but i still love them and won't be giving them up anytime soon!

No doubt in my mind. I have never owned a pair of strap-on mirrors that were worth darn, and I've owned several different ones over the years. My 1999.5 F-250 had the factory tow mirrors, and I'll never tow a trailer that's taller than the top of the tailgate or wider than the bed of the pickup again without something very similar. I didn't want the 3.73 axle ratio that was required to get the max tow pkg on my 2012, and the max tow pkg was the only way to get tow mirrors installed at the factory. So I ordered the truck without the max tow pkg, but as soon as it arrived I replaced the Lariat memory and power fold little mirrors with the non-memory and non-power fold Ford tow mirrors from the XLT trim. I ordered the tow mirrors from the 2012 F-150 accessories catalog, which included one version for my Lariat with memory and chrome caps ,and another version for an XLT that included power and heated glass, turn signals and puddle lights, but black caps and no memory. The memory mirrors cost a lot more than ones without memory, so I ordered the less-expensive ones. They are a plug and play replacement. The photos show them telescoped out for towing, but it's very easy to push them back in for use when the trailer is not tied on.
Here is the link to the memory tow mirrors:

And here is the link to the ones I think ordered:

$400 list price for the two mirrors, but my dealer charged me dealer cost of $280 because I bought the truck from him.
Tousley Ford Parts says they will sell all OEM parts for 10% over dealer cost, so on that part number they do just that:

Here's the price for the fancier tow mirrors with memory:

If you have a 2013 with memory and power fold, the tow mirrors are not yet in the accessories catalog. You'll have to order them from parts, and they will cost you an arm and a leg and your firstborn son. They are also power telescope, but your truck may not have the wiring for the power telescope to work without doing some electrical wiring.
