things don't add up.. the bearings listed for one axle size calipers/pads...rotor same size just 6 or 7 lug....my thought's same part ford just redrilled the face to accept 7 studs instead of 6 add in 1 more leaf and thats the payload to hd by what was it?? 300-500lbs...

oh and a heavier bumper??? must be the center section cause the outer parts are tin compared to older bumpers..

2012 specs..

[QUOTE=Steve Osborne;2570670]some one post a pic of the rear axle/springs setup with hd payload...
only thing i found different or added between my max tow and the payload was an extra leaf spring 3 to 4 and my 18's vs 17's with hd payload...

keep in mind i have a 2wd but heres some pics and measurements of the rear end

That's odd. My 09' XLT screw 4x4 had 20" wheels from factory. Previous owner or dealer put 18's on. I changed to LT 275 70/ r18 E. My truck has the tow package (not max) and 4th spring. I think the 4th spring was on trucks that had 20" factory wheels. Looking at the pics I went and measured mine and the dimensions are exactly the same on springs, shackles, height and width. My print out says heavy duty shocks with tow package.

I'd like to know how many splines we are talking, because all newer 9.75 Sterlings are 34 spline on 4wd trucks. F250/350 Sterling 10.5 are 35 spline. And larger bearings? All Job 2 truks in 2011 got a larger Pinion Bearing for durability reasons with the EcoBoost. This axle upgrade went to every 9.75.

Or is the HD 7 lug really just a Sterling 10.25 that was in light duty F250's for years, but this version still a C-Clip Semi Float?

I figure the HD rear is mostly different at the wheel/hub with the 7 lugs and the wheels, since 18-20 aluminum wheels aren't the best for carrying any kind of substantial weight, but plenty for a F150. I guess Ford years back decided that 7 lugs was needed. Then of course there is an additional leaf spring..

In the meantime I like seeing hard facts before hand.

By "pretty sure" I mean I was kinda pissed when mine came without them and I found out after the fact.
I'm in Canada and have the max tow package, mines a 2012 ecoboost 3:73 gears, and mine have the regular mirrors on it, my payload on the sticker says 1579# I added some Monroe load leveling shocks and they work great, pulling a 7000# loaded trailer with wdh

No, the dealer can't add it later. Trucks with HDPP are very similar to unicorns. I just recently sold my 2014 truck with HDPP.

Admittedly, I like the “can my dealer add...” idea.

I’m sure they’re up for swapping a whole frame and suspension if you pay them enough and sign the waivers the lawyers shove in your face...
