FYI

I have the 1A mirrors and have no shake to speak of and no complaints otherwise.

One internet complaint does not make a product bad.

Also my savings was much more then $50 over OEM. More like $50 a side, more in my case.

Well I'll have to see if my dealer will come down in price. I'm thinking he will then the cost difference is minimal and I'll go OEM.

the factory tow mirrors are awesome compared to the non tow. super happy with them. great visibility towing and not. usually stocker tow mirrors suck but i have no complaints. maybe you can find OEM ones on ebay.

it'd be cool if they were power fold/telescope but those are only on the loaded ones that have the payload of a honda civic :P

We use a really good manufacturer for our mirrors. The quality is very good, it's one of the reasons why we've recently upgraded the warranty to lifetime on manufacturing defects on this product.

I bought pair of K Source snap on mirrors from amazon.com. They clip on the bottom and push on from the back, no sliding. Very solid. Good reviews on amazon. I like them for $41 and look kinda like oem.

Thinking of going with these. Etrailer has a great price on them and I've had good luck with Etrailer in the past.

My main concern is that the **** Custom Tow Mirror glass was as small as I would like to go. I would like the glass to be of a larger area for better viewing. Then I see the K-Source and their mirror glass is very small. Not sure it would be helpful as I've had mirrors before with small glass areas and they were pretty useless.

What are your opinions on the smaller glass area of the K-Source??

Thanks

Ok, my dealer can't/won't get the mirrors I want. I see specialty tools are required to pull the door paneling off, so as to get to the mirror studs and nuts. Looks like different size pullers to disengage the clips from what I've seen on youtube.

Do you guys have installation instructions and sell a kit with the pullers or other tools needed that will avoid the possibilities of damaging the door panel?? My co-worker tried to get his off and actually cracked his silverado door panel.

Thanks

lol @ government motors

lookup speaker installs on youtube, that shows how the panels come off. you shouldnt crack anything unless youre working in winter temps and the plastic is brittle.

Do the Ford OEM tow mirrors have power fold, and how much do the Ford dealers charge for them?
