Default Ford F150 for towing 5th wheel

I have a chance to purchase a 2012 F150 super cab Black V6 with ecoboost 4x4 off-road pkg. Tonneau cover. Rated to pull 11,300#. 73K miles. $25,000. Is there any concern with this vehicle being able to tow a 2016 lite 5th wheel?

Have you read the many posts on the Towing section of the forum. They explain the difference between PULLING something and TOWING something. The concern is PAYLOAD.

Read the yellow sticker on the door jamb. Take that number and subtract the weight of yourself and all passengers, all modifications made to the truck, anything you will carry in the truck. That's your available payload, and the 5th wheel cannot exceed that amount in the weight it puts on the truck. Also, you have to make sure that you don't exceed other capacities, like the weight on the rear axle.

Here is one thread that pretty much covers it. https://www.f150forum.com/f82/5th-wh...5/#post4184216
