Default Flat Towing Behind Motorhome

Does anyone have any experience towing an F150 4x4 behind a motorhome or other vehicle with all 4 of the F150's wheels on the ground. We would like to hear about your experience doing this. Problems or praises.

Pretty sure you will have to have a 4wd... And kick the trans fer case in neutral while towing.

Or 2wd and pull the rear shaft while towing.

Yes, I know. I have been flat towing a civic for years.

I would still like to know about any experience with flat towing a F150 4x4.

Thanks.

I have not towed an F150 behind a motor home, however thats a lot of truck of truck. I assume you will be getting a brake buddy to put in the truck to at least provide braking for the F150. But is your motor home, rated for towing 5500/6000 lbs behind it? Its 2 plus times the weight of a civic and about twice as long.............

this was one of the many reasons we traded the 2wd 201 for a 2013 4x4
flat towing set up is a breeeeeaaaze

friend of mine tows one behind his pusher and that sold me on 4wd
we usually put the truck on a hauler trailer,
I am researching tow bar mounting plates now and plan on doing the install soon, since we have to be home for a bit longer (jury duty)

there is a guy here and at irv2.com that just did a GREAT write up on the f150 preparing it for flat towing.
search and ye shall find

We have used the Blue Ox tow bar and components including the tow light diodes. They have been great.

Kind of late seeing this. Sorry.

Yes, I flat tow a 2012 FX4 behind my Outlaw Toyhauler. No problems but I'm right at the weight limit for my rig. Towing with a tag axle RV would be best. It's a simple procedure to set up to tow and I've not had an issue through 3500 miles of towing. Drop me a PM if you want details.

Good luck.
