The weight police on here crack me up! You grow up, get a pick-up, the next thing you know you are all experts!
No, the load rating on tires are equally important as all the other components of your truck. Adding Air Bags will not increase those tire ratings, they will not improve your rear axle bearings or increase rGAWR, they will not increase your GVWR or GCWR.

For the record I do not condone grossly overloading, but for the most part, your insurance company nor your state agency(police)will hold you liable if your gross is under 10,000 lbs. that may differ in some areas, but you will have a challenge getting an answer. Check for yourself!

If you run DOT numbers then you fall into a different group!

Air bags are generally rated anywhere from a 1,000b to 5,000b carrying capacity. Like over-load springs and tires. Those numbers used to be more readily available, but I suspect the Lawyers put the fear of liability on the manufactures so they don't post them.

Before you crawl back on your soap-box, keep in mind that I grew up in the farming/ranching business, have pulled/hauled more loads in varying terrains and conditions than most! We had one of the first goose-neck trailers in the state well before anyone knew what a dually pick-up was! I retired heavy line collision technician, so I have a pretty good idea of the forces that it takes to bend components!

LeftPlate what you are failing to understand is that the airbag rating is just that. It is what the airbag itself is capable of handling not your truck! Your truck is limited to all the things mentioned before. Remember your are mounting the airbags in between the springs and the axles, but the axles, wheels and tires are what really take the load. The springs just hold the body off of them and to provide suspension to cushion the bumps from the road along with the shocks. All airbags are good for are to help level your load, this helps in keeping from unloading your front end too much for steering purposes. Another reason for airbags is to give lift for clearance, but that's another discussion. Believe me if you have a wreck and you are considered overloaded and not in control of your vehicle, you will be cited. Ask any state trooper or DOT agent.

All I (and others) have been doing is stating *FACTS*.

I really don't care if you or anybody else wants to overload their truck. From your personal experience, it doesn't cause any problems. From my personal experience it does.

End of discussion as far as I'm concerned.

This is by far the cheapest price anywhere, my buddy is even a vendor and this price beats him by $40 bucks.

Just thought I would pass this info on for anyone else interested.

I did order my set on this deal, by the way tonite.

Good Luck guys.
X2 not bad I bought the same kit a little over a year ago. It's a night and day difference on how the truck handles

I just started pulling a 30ft travel trailer around 7k lbs loaded, I have sway control and WD hitch. My 2012 ecoboost motor seems to have plenty of power, but the ride is very rough. Does everyone find the airbags to help the ride and control of the trailer?

The bags will make for a better and smoother ride but not necessarily more control. A better ride could well give you a feeling of more control.

NMMIke, just wanted to say thanks again for helping me out over my airbag issue. I too found SDTrucksprings.com to have the best prices especially with that promo code. I ordered mine last weekend to replace what I had.

Lol! Airbags don't carry weight. Obviously the physics of how a weight distribution hitch has also escaped them?
