It's not a matter of the money I am a mechanic and a heavy equipment operator so I know how long and what things take to fix I just find it ridiculous that having just bought this truck( for my wife I might add ) that I have to pay somebody else was my point.

I bought the factory controller off eBay from a ford parts wholesaler it was 70 dollars cheaper than the local dealer same part # as the updated ford part from the local dealer

Sorry, wasn't meant to be offending (the Internet has no sense for "tone" if you know what I mean). I was simply implying that if a couple hundred bucks difference is what drives you in selecting a TBC, then you're likely willing to give up the integration features which the OE controller provide you. And if that's what's important to you,then a run of the mill aftermarket controller can be had for less than $100 bucks and installed yourself.

No I got you I have a 350 that I have had forever and I farm so that is my trailer hauling queen the little truck for her is to pull our small water tank and corn head for the combine I put aftermarket controllers on 2 other trucks and they suck compared to my*buddy's 150 with integrated ccontroller definitely the right way to go for sure.
