I have 2010 STX, while it came with "trailer Pkg" it only included the receiver and both trailer, 4pin & 7 pin connectors. I have added OEM Brake controller, minimal labor. transmission cooler w/ thermostat & relay, minimum to moderate labor. Climate controller w/ rear defrost button for heated mirrors, minimum labor. Automatic headlight sensor and switch, minimum labor.

Please see my above post for the links to the threads that will teach you alot about what is available for the different years and models and how to swap out. If you want power fold, dimming, etc you will most likely have to run additional as they are not pinned out at the mirror block.

Have no idea if new STX have these pins available. Thought that I read somewhere that they did away with these pins, except on the exact package that was ordered as in just power, if no tow package ordered on the newer models.

My understanding from these posts that all these are quite possibly not available on 2011 up.

Please see the following thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/2010-s...irrors-139749/

Please see following thread for aftermarket tow mirrors coming: https://www.f150forum.com/f82/f150-p...-works-236107/

Between the available threads you should be able to find and get all your questions answered.

I think he already knows about the last thread if he's posting here!!!!!

I thought I read somewhere that the F250 mirrors could be retrofitted onto our trucks with the addition of a switch for the power fold thus maintaining all the power options. I can't find it now though. Can anyone confirm this? I'm getting impatient

There's another problem- Superduty mirrors are four bolt mounts and F150s are three bolt mounts.

Ah...got it. I'd love to hear any updates on these. I really don't want to give up my power folding!

This is what I need to find out more about.
Power fold can be wired in to already available tow mirrors.

Pretty common knowledge.... If you've got $1300 go for it and buy the 2013 tow mirrors which power fold, and wire them up.

we're following this thread for a more economic aftermarket solution.

Exactly. I was going to dump the cash for oem ones but for the sake of waiting even another 2 or 3 months for these and probably pay less then half of oem price it's worth it. Use the money saved for other mods

Plus I don't really care about power extending. Power fold is all I want.

I understand but I was led to believe the OEM mirrors can not be made to power fold. And I am on this thread for that reason by the way...whatever way I can get this functionality is what I'm after.

This is the only option I was given at the dealership for $650 for the pair...just no powerfold.
