2005-2014 F150 Power Folding Tow Mirrror Upgrade Installation - YouTube

Tony,

I am a little confused with the video in that it shows an install of a marker light harness as well and doing a fuse tap into the headlights, but when I called today to A1 Auto, I was told that the only harness that comes with the 07-14 Tow Mirror upgrade kit is for the power fold. Do you sell the Tow Mirror kit with harness like the one in the video so that the marker lights work?

Thanks,

So what options do these have. I see power fold, defrost. Do they

Puddle lamp
Break away if hit like factory
Power telescope
Auto diming at night
Optional paint matched skull caps?

If I already have power fold, defrost, and puddle lamps, are these just plug and play including if they telescope?

I was navigating the site but there is so many mirrors for 2011 f150 it was a bit Confusing.

Thanks

No to everyone of those, however they do plug and play. I believe the trade off is powerfold, or power telescoping because at least with my factory switch its just the mirror rotate, button you push that to fold, well that would be the telescoping if you had that, I do believe.

Also I the skullcaps are removable, and these guys sell paintable ones.

If you do not have the power fold feature, you can buy the kit that comes with the harness, that will enable you to install the turn signals and power fold features, as shown in the video.

You can see the harness in this mirror kit. http://www.1aauto.com/2007-14-ford-f...ampaign=1ATony

Hey Tony, is there a warranty on the chrome skullcaps? I have put about 2000 miles on my truck since installing the mirrors. The mirrors are excellent, but the chrome is lifting and is totally ruined.

Tony,
So in order to upgrade my mirrors on a '13 XLT with the manual tow mirrors, I would have to go with part# 1AMRP01439 and I would lose my puddle lights and can only get smoked turn signals in order to get the power fold? Also have they fixed the fitment issues of the earlier run concerning the gap under the mirror?

Hi,

Can you call our sales staff at 866-403-3393 and one of your sales reps can help you out.

If you PM me after and let me know that you're all set, that would be great.

Thanks,
Tony

Yes you would loose the puddle lights that you currently have. The fitment has been fine on them, we haven't had any issues with them.

You can change the turn signal/ clearance light lens to orange if you wanted to. We sell the replacement orange ones.

Thanks for asking,

Tony

I was wondering if these mirrors have flat glass on top on both sides like proper tow mirrors, or if the passenger side is slightly convex on the top pane like my regular F150 tow mirrors?
