I tied into the purple wire also but ran my wore to an add a fuse in the rear park lamp fuse spot. Worked great.

I pulled out my factory foam and will install it tomorrow. I hope it fixes the whistle.
- I installed the mirrors multiple times with even torque.

Also, these are manual telescope? or power?

I've got a 2014 FX4 Luxury Supercab.
Our manufacturer has these as fitting up to 2013, I'm not sure if anything had changed in 2014. They are manual telescoping, power fold.

If you need to suck part of the mirror in a little more, on the inside of the door, you could try to place a couple of washers on the mirror stud and then place the bolt over them, the extra thickness of the washers should suck in that gap for you.

Ok so today I removed my mirrors, replaced the foam with my factory foam and replaced the 3 nuts with my original nuts with the larger washers.
The passenger top gap closed up some but not all. A quick trip around the block still produced a whistle. I will tape it on my way to work and see if that is the culprit. If so, I'll try to 3M tape it somehow.
The gaps below the mirrors are better filled with the factory foam but it's not flush fit.
I also wired into the green/purple to purple wires, that worked just fine.

Update: I taped the seal between the mirror and the truck and still get the whistle starting at 50 mph (+/- 5 mph). I never had this before the mirrors, that's why I'm assuming it is them. Nothing else was changed. I have read lots of threads and have checked all the weather seals. everything looks to be in order. I do not have a bug guard or window visors. I have made sure the top cap of the mirror was snapped in 100% and even taped the bottom crease. Soon I will get my wife to drive around so I can hopefully better locate the noise.
Lastly, when I fold in the mirrors, the whistling stops. I'm at a loss on where on the mirror itself the noise can be coming from

Put some tape over the marker/blinker light?

- Tony, I'll try to solve the issue. once Ive tried everything I can, I'll give your guys a call.

- I taped all edges of the blinker/marker light and still had the whistle. I'll have to get more creative I guess. I'm thinking it may just be a burr or something on an uneven surface. If the whistle wouldn't go away when I fold them in, I'd be looking elsewhere on the truck haha

Well I received the mirrors and successfully installed these on my 2014 FX4. I already had the power folding mirrors from the factory so it was relatively easy.

I did make it where the bottom light is now a clearance/marker light that is on when the park and headlights are. I simply ran a wire from the mirror plug to the park lamp feed. The wire I used was on the door panel mirror harness -purple wire truck side of plug. Cut the wire completely and ran a new wire from there to the passenger side kick panel fuse box- there is a yellow/blue wire there. It was pretty easy to run the wire underneath the dash and through both door's grommets. All in all- took me about 1.5 hours.
