Your axle weight capacities are on a sticker on the drivers door.
If you're going to haul a track car (sounds like fun!) you should get a trailer with a duck tail. It gives you more clearance at the ramp hinge/trailer intersection. Late advice if you're picking it up tomorrow...

I am picking up the truck tomorrow(today). Trailer is in build, and it has beavertail. It is a custom race trailer. Very similar to this one with couple more extras.

You can hit photo gallery and see pics.

So.. yeah.. F150 and that trailer is my future...I guess it will be fine....I just have to be careful on stopping. May be get additional leaf on the suspension or get air bags as well....

That's a nice trailer!
Seems well built with 16" centers and 5k axles. Tires appear to be E rated, too.
See if they'll make you a deal on a 250 - you'd be much more comfortable and a higher margin of capacity. You're going to be hard pressed to be under the max weight on the drive axle of a 150.

I live about 10 miles from Bondurant, and have taken both their Z06 and Camaro courses. You're living my dream!
Congrats!

Evice; nice trailer. I have an InTech all aluminum car hauler, 24 x 8.5 with lots of options, in floor winch and twin Honda generators. All up the trailer weighs 4390. I have no doubt your steel could weigh 4900. Where you might be overestimating is the misc stuff. You probably will have more like 700 not 1500, unless you're hauling air or nitrogen tanks. You might be around 8400 loaded.

The thing im most concerned about is your statement of 2000 lbs payload. That may be what's in the book, but check the placard on the door when it comes in. The only trucks I've seen with 2000 lbs payload have had the max Payload package.

Check the payload and rear axle weight rating, and don't panic yet. This might still workout

Nice looking trailer.
Do be aware the Ford Payload chart on the website appears to not include something, maybe fuel or fluids.
On the chart for my truck said 2700 lbs.
The sticker on the door said 2584 lbs., 116 lbs less.

Will do! And yes I might be overestimating. No air tanks, just 2 sets of spare tires, ez up, simple toolboxes, jacks, jackstands etc. Truck pick up is scheduled to Thursday due to work, but I will try to get those numbers from the door panel.

HD load package for 2013s show 2800 lbs only available to certain models... I hope 2000 is the true # for my truck!

I edited my post - I meant for an explanation point, not a question mark, as to your trailer. Ipad blues.
that looks like a really nice car hauler.

You're load is going to be very similar to mine. I carry generators, jack, jack stands, rolling tool chest, spares, etc and it adds up to 700lbs. I'm still guessing you'll be around 8400lbs. Just make sure to get the full load onto some scales, get the total weight, and tongue weight.

However that Ford payload chart is optomistic. Those are base trucks absent options. I'm guessing you'll have somewhere around 1700 lbs. payload. Dont worry yet, just check back in with your numbers

I'll bet a million dollars that your actual payload is not 2,000 pounds. This is the theoretical max and does not consider model and options. My FX4 with Max Tow says 1822 on the door sticker. Check yours. Then subtract the weight of options you add such as: step bars, bed cover, etc. Then subtract what you load in the truck: extra people, tools, coolers, dog, WD hitch, whatever. THAT is your actual payload.

Ford's problem with the Eco is that it has plenty of power to pull but limited capacity on payload. It causes people to overload their trucks.

I'm NOT saying you will be overloading your truck but just trying to lay out some information for you. Happy towing!
