Hay Mike, I'm looking at a Rockwood Roo 233s.......Here r the spce, do you think it's to much?

I might as well put it all out their. This is what I have, 602 for hitch, 40 for propane, 20 for battery and guessing 50-70 for WDH....Which comes to around 730, me and family will be around 550, so I'm at 1280 and my payload is 1360. I might bring 30-50 in tools so now I'm at 1330 with payload of 1360.
I'm not bring bikes, wood, or anything else in the truck including a cover.
The trailer's base weight is 4512 with a GVWR of 6602, I don't plan on putting more then 500# in the trailer?
Do I have the right truck for the job, or should I find another truck with a higher payload, or smaller trailer? Would air bags help me?

Your family and gear is roughly 200 lbs less than mine, and your payload is roughly 200 lbs less than mine.
The Rockwood Roo 233S (not 233SS) is only 300 lbs lighter, so it should work OK.
If this is your first TT, I would steer you away from Rockwood but that's another thread.
BTW, 500 lbs in the trailer is not much. You'll have all your leveling gear, hoses, electrical cords, outdoor chairs, outdoor tables, laterns, rugs, waste drainage equipment etc in the trailer. That adds up to a few hundred if not more. Then water is very heavy at 8.3#/gallon, then your clothes, kid stuff, food, pop, etc. That's why I say a minimum of 1200 lbs. I weighed everything out for my Starcraft pop up and had over 500 lbs in the pop up. Plus I still had to fill the bed of the truck with stuff that was even more additional weight.

Sounds like you are in same boat as me right at the max for the truck. Mine does it fine and I tow nearly every weekend through the summer for horse shows. I am inside my ratings but at the very top.
I saw the post about the CAT scale slip. Be very careful when using them. They are set up for tractor trailer rigs not our little trucks. I about had a hear attack the first time. I pulled just a bit too far forward and my first trailer axle was on the same pad as the drive axle. It showed me at 7k on the drive. I reweighed and moved to make sure I was positioned right and came out 100 under rear gawr and under gvwr and gcwr as well.
