Thank you, I didn't have to baby my 09 either like I do the eco to get the same mileage.

You DO have to "baby" the Eco to get the best mileage. But then, I had to do that with my previous 5.4 too.

The "Lie-O-meter" is most likely more accurate than your pump and hand calculation.
The truck knows exactly how much fuel it's spraying per injection cycle right down to the CC, and millisecond of open time on each injector.

Towed my boat yesterday for the first time with my new Eco, 130 miles. Very disappointed. I averaged 11.9 mpg, mostly highway. With my 09 Platinum 5.4 same gears as the Eco, I averaged 13.5. The boat pulls easier with the eco but I had no trouble with the 5.4 pulling a 3000# boat. My point is, I kinda of bought the Eco for the supposed extra 1 or 2 mpg ratings. I haven't pulled my 6500# travel trailer yet, I hope that my mpg won't drop on that also. I used to average 12mpg with that on the 09. I plan on pulling the travel trailer for thousands of miles and 2mpg better would make a good bit of difference. Pretty disappointed, live and learn. Anybody else get fooled with Fords advertising?

2014 ecoscrew 4x4 3.55 gears
Towed a 2008 Triton 19' foot bass boat with boat loaded with fuel and gear. truck loaded to the gills and 4 people an my Labrador retriever. Got 13.6 mpg overall doing 50-70 based on roads this week. Truck handled very well and barely felt the trailer or load. Only 1,100 miles on the new truck, but very happy!

Last year when towing my 7000# TT, I was getting ~ 8.4 mpg with only 7-8k km on the truck. (13' Eco screw w/ Max Tow). This year, I have 28K km on the truck and I was at 10.69 mpg during the first weekend out. This is pulling in the foothills of the Rockies.

I've played with the numbers.
Best mileage is on fairly level ground, few if any traffic lights. (Highway)
100% Gas is also good for a couple of MPG.
Time of year makes a difference in MPG. (Winter gas sucks)
Speed makes a difference in MPG.
Load in the truck affects MPG.
Tire inflation affects your MPG.
Wind in your face affects MPG.
Tail wind affects your MPG.
Staying out of BOOST will affect MPG.
You can drive yourself crazy if you do all your driving while watching the Boost meter.
Check your MPG a couple of times, then just drive.
