My truck is the same as yours and after getting my truck and trailer loaded up for a trip with the family aboard i hit my local Cat scale. My truck weighed 7560lbs with the trailer hooked up. I am only 140lbs under my trucks GVWR of 7700lbs and my rear axle weighed in at 3850lbs which is 200lbs under the axle rating. The sad thing is my trailer only weighed in at 7500lbs which is not even close to my max tow rating of 11,300lbs. The biggest down fall with any 1/2 ton truck when it comes to towing is its payload and axle ratings. Good luck, Kevin
You don't have 11,300 rating either bud. Sorry to burst your bubble

Most people do not want to believe that these trucks CAN and DO tow that much...

I knew you did.
It was a blanket statement not really directed at you, but that most people don't give the HD or Max Tow on the F150 it's due credit.
Stay within the limits (or reasonably close) and it will perform very well.

If you owned one then you should know that the Ecoboost with max tow and HD packages have a 11,000lbs+ towing capacity. I'm not saying i would ever tow that much weight with my 1/2 ton but it DOES have a rating of over 11,000lbs bud!! No bubbles to burst here!!

Just joined this site today and was looking for this very topic but i have a few more questions. I'm looking at buying a 2013 F-150 Supercrew w/ 6 1/2' bed either with the Ecoboost engine or the 6.2l with the max payload package. I plan on pulling a 33' fifth wheel with a 1400# pin weight and trailer weight of 7400#. I only tow this trailer twice a year and never more than 1000 miles one way, Wil the Ecoboost hold up to this much towing? How much trouble is the fifth wheel in this short bed?

Also will I need to airbag or use air cells with this suspension? Sorry for all the questions.
