EB Intermittent humming/howling noise while towing.
This weekend was the first time I really towed anything a long distance since I have owned my truck which is a 2012 SCrew EB w/ standard tow package. I had 2 snomobiles and trailer behind me (1800lbs?), the bed was loaded with gear and 2 adults and 2 kids (1000lbs?). While driving I noticed a humming or howl from what seemed like in front of me in the engine bay. I could feel a small vibration in my feet also. It would only do it for 5-10 sec and then stop. And it always started and stopped instantly, like a switch was flipped. It probably did this 25 times on my 500 mile trip.
My first thought was the radiator fan kicking it, but it was 20 deg. outside. Do I have a transmission cooler on the truck and a fan for that was kicking in? Or do I have an issue? I know it is difficult to describe noises but hopefully someone else knows.

What speed was it happening at? Did it only happen when you were in the throttle and under boost? Did your check engine light come on at all? Did it feel as if you lost power?

I am getting exactly the same noise/vibration when i am hauling. I had the impression that the noise is coming from different road conditions, but unfortunately not. The Noise goes instantly away when you slightly push the brake pedal.

On my way home from work yesterday and in this morning, it has happened a couple more times without anything being towed. There was a very strong headwind, so it has me thinking it is engine load related. I'm sure if I take it to the dealer they will say they can't replicate the noise.
