Default did I get enough truck

I bought a 2015 screw with the 5.0 lariet package with 3.31 gears and fx4 package. It has the trailer tow package and the 7000#gvwr package if that helps. My camper weights about 6700#dry weight, with about 500# of stuff in it. when I purchased the truck the salesman said I'm fine but I'm starting to wander. I have a wdh for it I have to set up.

I would not be concerned with the truck it's self handling it, but the 3.31 gear is kinda on the high side it will pull it fine but with the 5.0 the 3.73 gears would be much better, the 5.0 trucks in 15 for some reason only have a 8.8 rear end vs the 9.75, if u tow in the mtns u will wanna swap the rear end gears as it will prolly add 1500-2000 pound tow capicaty

Thanks, i don't think I will be towing in mnts. I live in middle georgia and right now my camper is in fla. It will be here most of the time except when I take it home. I was just concerned it wouldn't handle it
and break down.

The good thing is the 6 speed transmissions gearing make up for the torque on the low end as compared to the old 4 speed like I have for example my 1st gear ratio is 2.82 first gear and yours is 4.14 so as u can see yours is geared much better even with the 3.31 rear end ratio that's how ford can get by with higher rear end ratio, just get the Reese weight distributing system and sway control all built in works really well

Here is my setup

My truck has the trailer sway control. I believe my hitch also has the
sway bars.
Another question, what is the max tow on the 15 models? I don't think I have it just wandering.

Yea the sway control on truck is nice, but the hitch with sway control is best, also I believe the max tow on your truck is lower rear end gears prolly 3.55, also I've since added roadmaster active suspension and properly set up hitch so it's more level know with my trailor mine is 845 tongue weight

I looked at the build sheet and it's 3.31 gears. Looking in the book and online it says I'm good for 9100. I don't trust that as much as people with the same set up who have towed with theirs.

Thanks, that's going to be the fun part, it was set at the camper dealership for a 250 I had. I don't remember how he did it, but that's what Google is for.

Towing capacity should be 9100 lbs for a shortbed and 8900 pounds for a longbed, so you are OK there.
What is your door-sticker payload specifications? Your truck is probably 1650 to 1900 pounds depending upon the factory-installed options. Let's assume the yellow sticker shows 1700 pound allowable weight of passengers and cargo. If your camper weighs 7500 pounds loaded for towing, and 12% of the trailer weight is on the tongue (900 pounds), and assuming your WDH weighs 80 pounds. that leaves (1700-980) you have only 720 pounds left for the weight of aftermarket truck accessories (tonneau, bedliner. etc), passengers, personal effects in the cab, and cargo in the bed combined. Pack lightly, consider lighter weight accessories, tow with empty tanks, use tow/haul mode, and you should be fine to tow anywhere. To make sure, make use of local scales while loaded for a trip.
I love that Northern Georgia area for camping...I spent a week at Unicoi a couple of years ago.
I ordered a Heavy Duty Payload package truck for towing so I wouldn't have to run close on the payload numbers, but like others, my order got cancelled by Ford and I have to wait for a '16.
