I like the full 60" showers/baths they are putting in them. That may be a first for this price.

Palomino seems to be coming out with many new products the last several years. Seems like they have had somewhat of a resurgance in the industry. Must have new leadership that defected from one of the other manufacturers.
Thank you for your input. Yes the full shower with bench is HUGE for me. The redwood was awesome but had an awesome price to go with it! The Columbus still had w/d prep, and full recessed lighting, hidden hinges, solid surface tops, and great finishing touches. The darker colored furniture was a nice thing for me since I'm always dirty. Who the hell can live with white leather like some of these units have now?.

Agree on the price. 30% off MSRP is what you are shooting for and can usually get if you shop around and are willing to drive a little.

I realize you have the truck to tow it with, but have you looked at some of the 5th wheel floor plans they are coming out with in TT's? They are using barreled roofs to acheive some of the ceiling heights of the 5th wheeels.

Finally the industry is realizing that not everyone wants to buy a larger truck to tow a 5th wheel and you can get very comprable TT's in a much lighter package.

Indeed on the price. (got my pricing quotes mixed up. I haven't bargained thisi 70k trailer yet). I did get to see some new outback TTs and agree they are getting better. The finishing touches and quality just aren't comparable. Also, if I was just a weekend goer I'd absolutely keep to a TT but unfortunately I live in mine for work and feel the walls closing in on me, metaphorically speaking.

Default Check these out -

Not a 5th wheel, but not bad for a TT.

Palomino RV has come a long way in the past few years. At one time they were more of a entry level RV. Ever since they were purchased by Forest River, they have gotten steadily better. I would consider them a mid to high level RV today. Even back in the entry level days, they were a solid built unit, they just had a tendency to be a little more spartan, and use some "non-standard" parts (ie axles were Alko's instead of Dexter; good quality axles, but not the RV industry standard).

We are in a different time in our lives than you, we need a bunk house. I really like this floorplan, and check out the size of the gray water tank!

A lot of people consider Palomino an above-average trailer but they're on the heavy side.

I'm not in the market for anything right now but if I ever considered a bigger truck and trailer combo, Palomino would be near the top of the list. They look really nice.

How do you like the Sundance XLT? If we go fifth wheel on the next trailer, that one is on our short list.
