Coming home from our 4 day camping trip my bride and I were going from east to west over the Cascade Loop Highway 20 yesterday!
Our little F150 and 21' trailer are a great combo and we can maintain posted speed limits even on the mountain passes. We rapidly came up behind a similar rig albeit a Chevy on a long incline. Fortunately there were two lanes going our direction and after the hairpin curve, we took the inside lane and simply forged ahead.
The Chevy was quickly lost long behind us. Done. or was it?
We eventually crested the pass. Again, we maintain speed limits even downhill. The ups and downs of the rest of the mountain pass became a bit of entertainment for my bride and I! As we descended the Chevy would get right on our tail. At times we'd be going up hill and watch the chevy fall away. We did this over and over as we simply maintained the speed limit!
It actually became rather humorous for us as this feller must have really hauled butt to catch us after a few of the hills!
Eventually hunger took over and we pulled into a little company town called Newhalem to make ourselves lunch. The chevy roared by.
LOL!
Its all good though!
Everyone made it home safe as far as we know!

Great story. Had the same problem with my Tacoma pulling my 20 ft trailer. Great downhill but a real dog trying to go uphill. No fun at all. No problem with my 3.5 ecoboost. Its a rocket.

Awe!
It was all fun and games!
Well, from our perspective anyway! LOL!
Just a simple drive home doing the posted limit!
A nice lunch in the park too!
