It's a great trailer but I wouldn't want to go much heavier. Maybe 500 lbs heavier at most with my generous 1582 lbs payload.

Truck pulls it great with no strain but I do use a top of the line sway control hitch, the Reese Strait-Line system. You definitely can feel the trailer back there especially in the wind but getting LT tires would make that much less noticeable.

Do remember my dry tongue weight is about 1/3 of what that toy hauler is, and loaded with an average 13% tongue weight is only about 845 lbs.

Thanks for that info, I was looking at this one as an alternative. It seems closer to your specs.

My "dry" tongue weight is almost 300 lbs lower than that toy hauler. Trailer weight is about the same. It's a step in the right direction. BUT what happens if the tongue weight is over your hitch rating and payload rating. Are you ready to buy a new 3/4 ton truck??

I would only buy if the dealer allowed you to hook it up, load it with your toy, and WEIGH it. Dealers around here will not allow that. They don't need your business that bad to risk damage to a new unit. BUT in your situation, you have to much to lose if you don't.

I know someone pulling a grey wolf 25rr with 2012 XLT super cab 4x4 5.0. He uses it for his business to store his goods when he is on the road traveling and selling. Don't know his exact numbers, but it's loaded to travel for a week at a time water for one person and approx 3k in goods. He does the traveling "arts and crafts" shows 2 or 3weeks a month.

I am looking at the Carbon 22 now. I think its mor reasonable and has the built in fuel station.

First go out to your truck and on the door there is two #s we need to look at, GVWR and your cargo capacity(payload) #s.......

So the 1507 is the important # 1507- weight of all passengers, cargo and the tongue weight of your trailer. I'm not familiar with how toy haulers offset the tongue weight so hopefully someone else will chime in. rv.net is also a great place to seek info as it is all about RV lifestyle, anything and everything one can imagine.

Looks like it'll work. You also have good payload which seems a rarity here. Just don't load your truck to heavy and it should work good.
