Default Can I tow this safely?

Hey guys I have a 99 f150 with the 5.4 and she has the towing package with 3.55 gears running 33 inch tires and I want to know if it'll be safe to tow my dads 25ft Albemarle center console boat for a 4hours trip when the boat has a full tank of gas plus all the gear she pushes over 8,000 pounds I know I can probably pull it I'm just worried about stopping. What's y'all's opinion? Here's a pic of the boat.

Does it have trailer brakes? And do you have a brake controller?

I'd be very cautious towing that without proper brakes, also make sure ya have a way to monitor your trans temp.. As far as you pulling that boat up out of the water maybe a little tough I'd for sure use 4 low.. I'd pull it in a heart beat, but just be cautious I just had a new tranny built to help my towing needs some. But truck should pull it fine just make sure to give yourself plenty of stopping distance

Alright thanks the brakes on my truck are great and you thinks it'll be safe to run 70 on the interstate? In the upstate there's a lot of steep hills but in the lower half of the state it's flat ground

Well I'd tow it with my 05 and not think twice about it. But that's me, I've pulled alot of heavy loads and I have a trans temp gauge and a heavy duty transmission. Plus and excellent trans cooler. So with that said it really depends on your truck and if ya can monitor your temp. Also use common sense when towing. Also the roads down here in Texas are different, so you know the route your using so plan accordingly

Boat trailers use surge brakes since electric ones don't last too long underwater. I'd be sure the master cylinder was free & working and that the brakes were adjusted properly. Then tow it!

Alright and I don't have a trans temp gauge but have never had a problem with it and I have a heavy duty rear end. I tow about twice a week but there little things like lawn mowers and 4wheelers stuff like that. The most I've ever hauled was a 20ft McKee craft boat weighed bout 5000 didn't feel like it was straining the truck at all.
