Default Best adjustable drop hitch

Howdy

I have been looking at adjustable hitches, I would prefer one that's American made. I would rather have one that exceeds my trucks towing limit and not be less. The only one I have found that does is the Anderson ez hd. It's rated at 10k for the 2 Inch ball and 14k for the 2 5/16 ball. So its rated for more then i could ever tow with the 150. I have been looking at there 4 inch rise and drop part number 3294. Not the prettiest one on the market but its made here and seems to be rated the strongest and is priced right. Just curious what you guys are using, I plan to order one this week. I found this one I mentioned for 159 shipped to my door as well.

You can't tow more than 5,000 pounds with a normal F-150 UNLESS you get a weight distribution hitch. This is way overkill and wasted money.

I've been really happy with my Trimax Razor. You can get them adjustable for up to 6", 8", or 12" drops. And you can get a double ball mount which they also make, so that you just flip over to change ball size. Best priced one I could find in my search, and looks awesome.

Andersen makes excellent products, so you won't go wrong with the one you've listed.

I chose the Curt based on features and price ($125)

I like seeing what you guys are posting, that flash one looks like the Lincoin of hitches. I looked at the curt and all I had against it was where it was made, then I found the Anderson close to the same price. The razor one has a pretty sweet look to it as well. Then again maybe were all wasting our money on these and shouldn't tow over 5k anymore. Guess I can use this on my ranger if my f150 can't handle it 😎

I believe what they are referring to is that the stock hitch is only capable of 1050# of tongue weight with/wo out a WD system.
