You can definitely "feel" it when the Cummins is working hard. The EcoBoost had more of a scream, Cummins has more of a growl with some seat-of-the-pants vibration.

Congratulations.
That is a nice truck.
I have had several Dodge trucks in the past, I liked them.
Keep us updated please on how you like it over time.
Cheers ☺

Congratulations on the new truck...it looks great. I am surprised at the low payload, however, at 2507. Is it the weight of the diesel drivetrain, factory accessories, or both that drops the payload so much? Your new 3/4 ton diesel takes you from 11th place in the payload ranking "post your payload" thread spreadsheet on your old truck up to third place among F150's, and a regular cab F250 starts (before options) with 3480 or 3580 payload.

I wish you many years of enjoyment from your new truck, and hope you remain active on the forum.

It's the diesel. The F250 with a diesel would have a similar payload, as the Powerstroke is considered an option. Many higher trim, crew cab 3/4 diesels are 2000# or less.

But the 3/4 tons have GAWRs that are closer to the 1 tons, and it seems that recent versions are almost identical mechanically to a 1 ton. Apparently the F250 when equipped with the camper and snowplow packages is identical to an F350 SRW. The main difference is that 3/4 tons have a 10K GVWR (or less), an administrative restriction that puts the truck in a different class and allows lower registration fees, tolls and so on.

As a result, many 3/4 owners are more concerned about exceeding their GAWRs than exceeding their GVWRs. The front GAWR on my Ram is identical to that on a Ram 3500 SRW, and the rear is only 500# less.
