Default Anybody have one of these?

Was considering buying this or something similar and was wondering if anyone here had experience/thoughts about it: http://www.harborfreight.com/1-ton-c...ane-69513.html

Would be used for moving woodworking machinery around garage and/or for future machinery purchases being unloaded from truck bed.

With nine reviews on the site, I'd use that.

I find most of the stuff they have is over rated for weight (especially hydraulic presses), but very usable. So as long as you are paying attention, and not really trying to lift 2K it will be fine.

Yeah I'm familiar with their stuff and know some stuff is great and cheap (floor jacks) and other stuff will break with continued use. I wouldn't push this past 1200 lbs if I could avoid it. I'm almost always a 1-man show unloading/moving stuff around here and figured if this could straddle the bed of the truck, it might be just the ticket for anything heavy that I would need to unload. The reviews look pretty good but was just wondering if others here have used something like this who may have insight to pros/cons of it before I drop $730 (less 20% coupon)

Default Harbor Freight gantry

Livnitup, have been looking at that also! It looks like a decent crane. If you do buy it please post your review on it , may help me decide on a purchase! Thanks

Still a whole lot safer to operate for one person than an engine hoist.

Another thing I have done if I know I won't have to take it apart is put it together then weld it up.
