with a "magic" weight distributing hitch, that capacity is up to 1130#
The reason for this is because with 1130# sitting on your back bumper (about 4' behind the axle) your front wheels will be under loaded and steering will be affected. A weight distributing hitch transfers part of the weight back to the front wheels.

redone- when you use both, do you air up first then set up the WDH? air-lift's website recommends setting up the WHD first then adding air. I believe they likely know what they are talking about but it seems like air bags are similar to AAL's or over load springs meaning they make the rear stiffer. if you add the air after the WDH is set up, then you're taking weight off the bars which could make your sway control not work as well (if it's one with an integrated design) and remove some of the weight that was being transferred back to the front axle. I don't know if I'm missing something... I've thought about adding air bags but this has me concerned
