I am looking for the lightest I can find, and found a couple KZ slide outs that will work, ....

Slideouts are great for maximizing interior room, but they do add weight. Figure about at least 800 lbs extra per slide.

Thanks, but don't confuse me with the original poster. I posted my recent experience to help the original poster.
I too, am planning on changing my diff. from a 3.55 to 4.11. This will help with how much I can pull. Im not worried about gas mileage at this point; especially since with all the mods, my gas stays around 13 under normal driving conditions with a 93 perf/tow tune.

The one I have in mind is a KZ model, like the 2405 which has a side slide and a rear slide. It grosses at 7100K, UVW of 5770. The one I was going to go look at though was sold before I even got on the road to get there. I did find a few others that are similar with about the same GVWR, between 7000 and 7500. I feel confident in that weight range mainly because my rear load horse trailer comes in at 7100 GVWR, and I have had it up to 6500# with a pair of horses and tack, and that doesn't include 200# hay in the truck. It pulled it very well. The only difference will be there wont be live mass back there moving forwards, backwards and side to side, and not all at the same time. Its an interesting experience when you can feel them moving back there while cruising down the highway.
