7200 vs 7350 GVWR?
Why does the 5.0 have the 7350 GVWR vs the 7200 GVWR with the Ecoboost-both 145 wheelbase XLT's.

Good question. I think ford just messes with us sometimes.

May have something to do with the 145" wheelbase? The SCabs with 6.5' beds also show a 150# difference. The RegCabs with 8' beds show a 50# difference.
All the others are the same across the two engines.
No idea what's special about the 145" wheelbase and how Ford comes up with these numbers.

Pretty sure they are close to the same weight however, since the frame, suspension and axles are the same, they should still have the same GVWR.
FWIW, my 2011 5.0 145" SCrew shows 7200 on the door sticker. I think the change came with 2012.

Spent a bunch of time mulling over the info here;
https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...12_F150_SB.pdf
The way Ford (though I'm sure all the half tons are guilty of it) rates the GVWR seems to have no good rhyme or reason sometimes. The 5.0 can't have the max tow package so they can sell more ecoboost/ 6.2L trucks, but only the 5.0 and the ecoboost can get the HD payload package. All I need to do to my truck to go from 7100lb to 7350lb GVWR is add a trailer brake controller according to Fords max tow package. Lol. They all need to make money though.
