Default 7" GPS in F150?

I have a 2013 F150 STX Scab. I'm looking at getting a 7" Rand McNally GPS to use with our travel trailer. I'm wondering if anyone has done that. I'm concerned it may take up too much windshield space.

I have 7" gps wide screen and it was fine for my 3500 mile trip with my TT. I have a 2014 screw.

I bought an open wire end from gpscity and tapped into my fuse panel with a 0.5A fusetap, ran it up the A frame behind the gasket to my dash/windshield. I have a 5" and know a 7" will work too.

Power supply

Mount

Note that the fuse for the GPS is as close as possible to the rated amperage of the specific device.
