I have an inquiry in with 5 star but thought I would ask here.

I have a 2010 w\ 4.6 3v 6 spd, 3.73 gears. I have had 5 star 93 performance tune on for a couple years now and have only done short trips towing.

I am planning on going to outer banks NC from Northern Va (4 1/2 hours) and I've been asked to tow a small enclosed trailer with two Harley's and some gear.

Do you think I need to change up tune or should I be fine with my 93 perf tune?

Word is NO TOWING with performance tunes. You need a tow tune with safety parameters built in.

Interested to see what 5-Star says. I've towed with my performance/tow tune installed, isn't that why we got a 5 Star? Even on the packaging it said something along the lines of "Climb any mountain" with photos.

My understanding is that if it is a 'performance/tow' tune, it can be used to tow but if it is a 'performance' tune, no towing.

Right, I had forgotten that for 5* their tunes are P/T tunes. I would just confirm with them.
