I'm trying to talk the wife into one of those but she is more interested in an Explorer or possible a Subaru Outback (I don't like the Outback because the only tranny choice after 2014 is a cvt). I'd go 2moro and trade in here Avalanche and my '08 F150 to put her in a new 2.7L F150. Better mileage than what we have now and its still a truck I or she can use for things vs the other options we are looking at. She really wants a 3rd row tho. I'll probly have to go take one for a spin some day when she is at work.

Love it!

The all aluminum F150 with baby EB motor out performs many V8's based half-ton pickups!

Too bad it's only available in 4x2 models

Nah, you can get 4x4 with the 2.7L EcoB. For sure.

The reported EPA hwy mileage isn't near as good though.

I would have preferred if they used their box trailer. There would've been more wind resistance to overcome and would simulate towing an RV.

Seems the TFL Truck boys have become EB fans.
I agree with KJR, they need a trailer with a typical RV frontal area.
And they finally had the truck in tow/haul mode on the way down.

hmmm, looks like it's just the SCREW model in 4x4 which you can't get a 2.7L. Weird, wonder what the logic is there...

I've heard teh 2.7L is not available in the high end models ...
Sure you can't get it a 4x4 SCrew XLT with 2.7L EcoB?
(my internet connection is poor or I would check myself)

EDIT: It's complicated. Here's what the 2015 Brochure says for the default Lariat configuration:

2.7L EcoBoost ® engine with Auto Start-Stop and
6-speed SelectShift ® automatic transmission
with progressive range select and tow/haul mode
(SuperCab 145" WB, SuperCrew ® 145" WB, 4x2
SuperCab 163" WB and 4x2 SuperCrew 157" WB)

There are no other options for the 2.7L EcoB.

For the XLT the only default 2.7L EcoB comes with the same 4x2s as above, but you can get the others as an option + the Reg cabs:

Regular Cab 122" WB and 141" WB, SuperCab 145" WB and
SuperCrew 145" WB; n/a with XLT Sport Package on
SuperCab 145" WB or SuperCrew 145" WB

Take a look at the Ford "Build & Price" site:

http://bp3.ford.com/2015-Ford-F-150?...hooseYourPath/

I tried building a King Ranch or a Platinum with the 2.7 EB and 4x4, but couldn't do it.

However, I was able to build a VERY nice Lariat with the 2.7 EB and 4x4. In order to do it with a SuperCrew I had to select the short box (5-1/2 foot). But was able to add all kinds of higher end options, including the ones below - the only thing I wasn't able to add that I would want was the retractable running boards:

2015 Ford F-150 LARIAT SuperCrew®, 5-1/2' Box, 2.7L V6 EcoBoost® Engine, 6-Speed Automatic Electronic Transmission w/Tow/Haul Mode, 4X4, 3.73 Electronic Locking Axle Ratio

You can't get the 2.7tt at all in 502a trim or above. You also can not get it with the 157"/163" WB with 4x4 in ANY trim. Everything else you should be able to.
